What is a Multi-Cooker, Power Pressure Cooker?
Power Pressure Cookers (Multi-Cookers) claim intelligent technology designed to deliver quick, nutritious, and delicious meals every time.
The technology uses high pressure to create a super-heated steam inside the cooker. Thus it is called a pressure cooker.
Because this cooker is not a stove top pressure cooker but has power of its own (most of them electric) this multi-cooker is called a “Power Pressure Cooker”.
There are many Power Pressure Cookers on the market, each one claiming special features unique to them. All have modern technology and safety features. All of them are UL listed.
About the Power Pressure Cooker XL
The Power Pressure Cooker XL by Tristar Products, Inc is the one seen on tv in the infomercials.
The Power Pressure Cooker XL is a modern digital multi-cooker that the manufacturer claims uses Flavor Infusion Technology to cook food faster. They claim that you can do the work of 8 kitchen appliances with this Power Cooker.
It is important to note here that a lot of the claims the manufacturer has made in their infomercial and website are true with any power pressure cooker or multi-cooker.
It is also important to note that some of the unique features and claims made are a bit farfetched in our opinion.
Also some of the features on the Power Pressure Cooker XL can be found on other power pressure cookers on the market.
Yes, we have and use the Power Pressure Cooker XL and we have others we use. Yes, we have had some problems, some of them our own fault, some of them the fault of the unit. We will discuss these problems on another page as soon as possible.
Yes, there are other modern power pressure cookers available from other manufacturers at varying prices. We will discuss our favorites in future articles on this website.
Survey of What Most of The Reviews
On The Web
Of The Power Pressure Cooker XL
Yes, The One As Seen on TV.
We did a survey, where we searched and searched the web and found as many review sites and quotes as we could find to get a sense of what people are saying about their Power Pressure Cooker XL. We wrote down the results of our survey. We did the work so you will not have to.
We searched several sites and counted over 881 reviews we read by individual people on consumer sites. We did not include any review by someone who has linked to a site to sell the unit.
We discovered something very interesting. For example many of the people complained of the same problems we ran into with our own unit.
The reviews went from loving their Power Pressure Cooker XL to hating their Power Pressure Cooker XL.
In all fairness we have to mention that the majority of the extreme one and two star reviews were not about the unit and how it performed but they were about the terrible customer Service they got from ordering through the official website or the infomercial phone number. Everything from ridiculously long delivery wait times and back order times, to no delivery at all, or items missing when delivered, like missing parts, missing manuals and poor or little or no response when they complained.
So if you decide you want to buy the Power Pressure Cooker XL, buy it from Amazon; Walmart; Bed, Bath and Beyond; or from your favorite retailer that you know and trust. One that has a return policy you can live with.
In another article we will give you more detail about our survey on another page as soon as possible.
We will give our review of our own unit on another page also.
Please Note: If we take out the customer service issues and concentrate on the unit’s performance, we find the survey a lot more favorable. For example instead of an average customer rating of 2.4 to 3.18 stars for the unit, we get a higher rating of 4.18 stars. Wow what a difference.

It is also good to note that our survey came up with 35.1% would recommend it to a friend, but how many chose not to recommend it to a friend because of the poor customer service? We will never know.
